Corona virus is a group of viruses that are responsible for the common cold, SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) infections in humans. SARS was transmitted from civet cats to humans while MERS moved from a camel. First corona virus has been isolated in 1937. It has been found in birds. In 2019, an outbreak of a new virus has been reported which is closely monitored by the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions (CDC). This belongs to the SARS family and named SARS-CoV-2. This is responsible for the respiratory disease termed as Corona Virus disease 2019 (COVID-19).




People who get infected with COVID-19 will likely to show symptoms after 14-15 days, so it is recommended to take precautions and away from the infected people. There may be different symptoms for different persons. Some people can have few symptoms while some people found infected with COVID-19 showed no symptoms at all. What else can we do? But it’s unclear whether this also applies to human corona viruses as scientists are still researching on this virus. But precaution is better than cure. So, clean your surroundings and stay safe.




Since there is no cure of this pandemic disease so taking precautions is the only way to be protected from COVID-19. All the doctors, cops and community service people are trying hard to stop this pandemic. So, it’s our duty to stay protected and take all the necessary precautions. You can take follow steps:


  • First step is to stay inside and avoid crowded places.
  • Keep distance to people and wear masks and gloves if going outside.
  • Wash your hands in an hour. Use soap and water, or alcohol-based sanitizer.
  • Cover your face while coughing if you are having cough and cold and keep distance to people having cough.
  • Take rest and avoid Overexertion.
  • Use clean humidifier and cool mist vaporizer in your surroundings.
  • Stay hydrated and drinks enough amount of water.
  • Don’t smoke and try to avoid smoky areas.
  • If you are having fever and severe pain in your body, be quick to take acetaminophen.
  • Seek medical attention, if you have any of the symptoms mentioned in earlier paragraph.
  • Follow the directions of the doctors to prevent COVID-19.



  • According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), old citizen people are more likely to be infected with this disease.
  • People who have ever diagnosed with heart or lung disease or having diabetes are at serious risk. There are more likely to be severe complications if these people get infected.
  • Smokers are more likely to be affected with COVID 19 as they may be subject to susceptible to breathing complications due to COVID 19.
